Zen Buddhism Immersion in Japan
Facilitating a two-way exchange between Cornell students and Japanese Zen Priests for mutual understanding and appreciation of culture and ideas
The primary goal of this course is to facilitate a two-way exchange between Cornell students and Japanese Zen Priests for mutual understanding and appreciation of culture and ideas. The grant recipient traveled with the class to Kamakura, Japan, where they lived in monasteries, practiced meditation and deepened their intellectual and spiritual connection with the Zen tradition.
