Women Living Under Muslim Laws Research Intern

In this research experience, the student took part in research on the political state of Bangladesh, working alongside Women Living Under Muslim Laws (WLUML). The student’s research addressed gender inequality in the politics of the country, mainly how women are neglected in electoral politics. The issue of gender inequality in politics persists today, and this student aimed to connect the effects of obstacles faced by Bengali women abroad to the obstacles of Bengali women in New York politics.
