Community-Engaged Student Travel Grants

United to Benefit Ecuadorian Children, International Internship

Working with a local nonprofit in Quito, Ecuador, to provide services to at-risk children

The grant recipient worked alongside a local non-profit in order to address issues of poverty among children in Quito, Ecuador. United to Benefit Ecuadorian Children, International (UBECI) provides services to at-risk children, especially those working in vulnerable sectors, so that each child has a future enriched with self-esteem, leadership, gender equality, family integration and education, in order to be a successful, healthy and contributing member of their community.
