Engaged Opportunity Grants

Tompkins County Science Hub

Exploring science literacy needs in the Tompkins County community

From making good health choices to understanding policy decisions to being a well-informed voter, science literacy helps individuals care for themselves and their communities. This team is establishing a Tompkins County Science Hub (SciHub) that will strengthen connections between community members – particularly underserved groups – and science-related resources to enhance local science literacy. In their initial project, the team is investigating the current landscape of science literacy needs and efforts within and outside Cornell to better understand where SciHub can provide the greatest impact.
