Engaged Opportunity Grants
Thread Magazine, Fall 2018 Issue
Partnering with a local business to produce a vintage-themed issue of a student-run fashion and arts publication
Thread Magazine, Cornell’s student-run fashion and arts editorial publication, is collaborating with The Vintage Industry to produce the fall 2018 issue of the magazine. Together, the team of students and the local business owner are exploring the creative impact and potential of vintage artifacts, while learning about entrepreneurship and the possibilities and challenges of running a business that circulates second-hand designs. The project includes brainstorming, student learning through hands-on engagement in The Vintage Industry shop, creative research on the vintage pieces selected, project execution, as well as the design, layout and distribution of the issue.
