The Parole Preparation Project at Cornell
This student utilized their engagement project as a way to humanize the perception of incarcerated individuals. Working alongside the Parole Preparation Project, the student interacted with an incarcerated individual who was an applicant for parole. In these interactions, the student took part in phone, email and letter exchanges as well as a legal call in order to better understand and aid in the parole process. The student, in this project, developed a meaningful connection and contributed to humanizing and uplifting the individual they served.
