Serve in Place Fund

Supporting Local Blood Centers; Developing University Chapters

This recipient led a project aimed at increasing the number of repeat youth blood donors to local blood centers. In partnership with the University Blood Initiative, the student worked to combat local blood shortages alongside running a campaign tailored specifically to the needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. The student led virtual webinars and COVID-safe blood drives for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson Hospital communities. The student measured the increase in blood donations and the growth of the team working to fulfill the project’s objective.
