Risley Presents Andrea Gibson
Hosting poet and LGBTQ+ activist Andrea Gibson to Cornell’s Ithaca campus for a performance and student workshop
The Risley Residential College for Creative and Performing Arts is bringing poet and LGBTQ+ activist Andrea Gibson to Cornell’s Ithaca campus in September 2018. Gibson will perform original work and lead a workshop where students will have the opportunity to deepen understanding of their identity and the identity of others, how to process and seek support for themselves during challenging emotional times, and how to effectively engage with peers and community around social justice and intercultural competence.
