Racial Inclusivity and Operations at Anabel’s Grocery
This student worked with Anabel’s Grocery to address the issue of food insecurity on Cornell’s Ithaca campus. The goal of the project was to address the lack of racial inclusivity and BIPOC perspectives within the organization, as well as within the food system as a whole. The student first refined the online ordering system for the campus, seeing as how the pandemic affected the ability for in-person shopping. The student then attempted to incorporate more BIPOC perspectives into the operation of the grocery by refining the recruitment and onboarding process of the organization.
