Engaged Opportunity Grants

Mobile Mindfulness and Meditation

Launching a mobile meditation unit that serves Ithaca and outlying rural communities

Yoga Farm and Cornell Minds Matter students are collaborating to introduce communities to a Mobile Meditation Unit and ignite interest in mindfulness and meditation. Yoga Farm facilitators train students in mindfulness-based practices as well as instinctive meditation techniques so that they can go out into the community and reach a broad range of people. This is a way for people to have mindfulness and meditation come to them, and it gives Cornell students an opportunity to engage with the Ithaca and surrounding communities.

Topics: Economic Vitality and Entrepreneurship; Education; Health, Nutrition and Medicine
