Look Local: Practical Solutions for Equitable Revitalization
Connecting faculty and staff with community partners in Buffalo to discover opportunities for research, collaboration and student learning
Revitalized democracy, robust local economies, climate change, housing affordability, justice systems, immigration and public health are global challenges with local solutions taking root in New York. ILR in Buffalo, with community-based think tank Partnership for the Public Good and their 279 partners, is a co-lab of scholarship and action advancing a more vibrant and equitable metro economy. Building on a 70-year foundation, Buffalo Co-Lab’s recent initiatives work on the edge of the new economy alongside organizations and government leaders to imagine practical responses that improve quality of life for all. In December 2018, Cornell faculty and staff are traveling to Buffalo to build on successes of previous engagement work and discover new opportunities for research, collaboration and student learning.
