Engaged Opportunity Grants
Global Research for Justice Training and Instructional Support
Developing training materials for the Global Online Access to Legal Information (GOALI) program
Because of limited financial resources, researchers in developing countries are frequently unable to access academic and professional peer-reviewed journals, publications and databases. To address this, Cornell Law Library has partnered with the International Labour Organization, academic publishers and the Yale Law Library to develop the Global Online Access to Legal Information (GOALI) program in conjunction with Research4Life. GOALI delivers access to content in selected subject areas of law, thereby promoting the rule of law and access to justice. Launched in March 2018, GOALI is already available to more than 8,000 educational institutions, courts, libraries and nonprofits in 120 countries. This grant supports the development of training materials and courses for GOALI users.
