Community-Engaged Student Travel Grants
Cornell Global Health Summer Program in Tanzania
In this program, students go to Moshi, Tanzania, to study global health issues. During the first four weeks, they take a course at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College, where they work through a case study with Tanzanian medical students. The second half of the program focuses on service projects at nonprofits, hospitals and governmental agencies. The students learn how to read and analyze policy case studies as well as take their knowledge in global health to the field through their service placements. Both of these skills are essential for students who want to enter the global health field.
