Building and supporting partnerships among Cornell, county extension associations and community organizations
This project aims to enhance the capacity of New York State communities to quickly form and sustain effective and equitable partnerships to address ongoing and emerging local challenges. The team is focusing on relationships between the Cornell campus extension community, county extension associations and other community organizations in watershed management and food security, while also gathering lessons learned from community responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the first phase of a larger project, the team is developing an inventory of existing knowledge, tools, practices and other resources relevant to enhancing partnership development, maintenance and effectiveness. To do this, the team is collecting and mining past needs assessments for insights regarding inter-organizational partnerships.
