Engaged Opportunity Grants

Cornell Climate Conversations Podcast

Encouraging open and approachable discussion on different viewpoints

The topic of climate change has become highly politicized in the United States; the Cornell Institute for Climate Smart Solutions in partnership with The W!ld Center wants to move the conversation beyond political ideologies to encourage public discussion on issues related to climate change such as: observed impacts, concerns about the future, the uncertainties in available knowledge and questions for the experts. This student-led project encourages open and approachable discussion on different viewpoints regarding climate change via a regular podcast series. The goal of this project is to increase community engagement on climate change impacts among wider audiences, while giving students firsthand experience in promoting discussion of highly politicized topic.
