Engaged Opportunity Grants

Coordination, Governance and Management in Public Health Community Coalitions

Supporting coordination efforts that are vital to community coalitions working in public health

Coalition strategies have become increasingly common in public health as they allow resources and expertise to be pooled, and empower communities to tackle problems with a more comprehensive lens. Practitioners working in this space are interested in practical tools and lessons that they can apply to their work, but may be poorly served by the largely theoretical academic literature. This project attempts to meet this need by interviewing practitioners, documenting their diversity of experiences and many tricks of the trade. The participating coalition partners span a diverse set of geographical settings, focal health issues and community demographics.

Topics: Access, Equity and Justice; Health, Nutrition and Medicine
