Conservation with Communities for One Health
Investigating endangered animals and conducting conservation workshops in Sumatra, Indonesia
This is a course-based opportunity, in which students first learn about the concept of “One Health,” a holistic approach to health that integrates the life sciences, humanities and social sciences. The student grantee goes to Way Kambas National Park in Sumatra, Indonesia, where she investigates parasitic threats to endangered animals and conducts workshops to teach best conservation methods to reduce the spread of zoologic diseases.
