Community College and School of Education Vietnam Video

Supporting the internationalization of community college and school of education curricula

The Southeast Asia Program at Cornell is creating an educational video on Vietnam that taps into faculty and graduate students’ expertise and looks critically at common narratives of Vietnam that are embedded in American history. The video is intended to be used as a resource for faculty in different disciplines at six community partner institutions to supplement regular teachings in the curriculum with more in-depth and infrequently taught Southeast Asia content. The project aims to demonstrate a nuanced understanding of Vietnam, explore diverse perspectives on its controversial history with the U.S. and frame studies of Vietnam from a critical perspective.

Topics: Access, Equity and Justice; Arts, Communication, Media and Design; Culture, Language and History; Education
