Characteristics of Alternative Models of Care that can Benefit Infection Control in Traditional Nursing Homes
This student aimed to create a publication with the Buffalo Commons. In this publication, the recipient discussed alternative designs to incorporate into traditional nursing home structures. The recipient identified that the current structure of nursing homes allowed for the spread of various diseases and illnesses, and proposed alternative models to improve the quality and safety of residential care in these homes. The larger goal of this student’s project was to educate the general public on the issue and push for a change in nursing home design.
