Engaged Opportunity Grants
Cayuga Lake Watershed Summit
Working collaboratively to monitor, protect and restore the health of the Cayuga Lake watershed
The Cayuga Lake watershed is the largest of the Finger Lakes, covering 785 square miles of agricultural, residential, industrial and forest land in six counties and 44 municipalities. The health of the watershed is critical to the health of the surrounding ecosystem. This grant supports a summit meeting of the Cayuga Lake Watershed Intermunicipal Organization, including municipal staff and officials, to introduce them to opportunities to work with the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board to envision water quality improvement projects, identify partners and apply for funding.
