Community-Engaged Student Travel Grants

AguaClara Cornell

Creating improved systems for water purification plants in Honduras.

In this learning experience, the AguaClara Cornell project team traveled to Ojojona, Honduras, to observe team members of Agua Para El Pueblo. Agua Para El Pueblo is an international water treatment system that is gravity-powered with no electricity that strives to provide clean water for small towns and villages. The goal of the trip was to increase access to safe water throughout Honduras. Throughout the project, students discussed issues about water access with local government officials and technicians at the Agua Para El Pueblo.
