Engaged Opportunity Grants
Aguaclara Colombia
Partnering with WARP S.A. to bring clean, safe drinking water to rural communities in Colombia
Since 2005, the AguaClara group at Cornell has partnered with Agua Para el Pueblo (APP) to bring clear, potable water to rural communities in Honduras. Now the team is establishing new partnerships that will provide more communities with safe drinking water and provide more international community-engaged learning opportunities to Cornell students.
This grant supports a workshop where the Cornell team and WARP S.A. in Colombia can share information about water treatment and the Colombian context, and set the groundwork for a collaborative relationship. The team’s goal is to begin pilot projects in Colombia in 2020.
