2019-20 Project

So-Yeon Yoon has been teaching Virtual Experience in Designed Environments and User Experience with Technology Studio for several years in Cornell, and she’s seen a growing interest among students in immersive media including Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality for innovative design problem-solving

With the support from the Engaged Faculty Fellows program, she is developing special three-hour course modules and conducting workshops that allow Cornell students and students from Newark Academy to work together on design problem-solving using virtual reality technology. The modules will be run at Cornell first, then student can volunteer to participate in the community-engaged learning modules the following semester at the community partner school. The Cornell volunteers will provide feedback on the modules to aid their continued development.

Engaged Faculty Fellowship Program
