Engaged Ambassadors

Ezinwa (Ezi) Osuoha ’22

Major: Biology and Society

Minors: Global Health; Inequality Studies

The issue of public concern I’m passionate about is … domestic and international healthcare disparities.

Engagement experience: I am a Public Service Scholar, the Community Outreach Chair for Building Ourselves Through Sisterhood and Service (B.O.S.S.) Mentorship Program, a Tradition Fellow, a Cancer Resource Center intern, and a Residential Advisor.

I got involved because … not only am I passionate about fixing healthcare disparities and my other interests in community engagement, I am also determined to continue what my mentors in the Engaged Cornell Hub before me started. Without the seniors who were Engaged Ambassadors during my freshman year, I would not know and greatly appreciate Engaged Cornell the way that I do now, and I want to help others experience what I did.

As an Engaged Ambassador, I … engage with those who aren’t familiar with the endless opportunities that the Engaged Cornell Hub has to offer. During my freshman year the Engaged Cornell Hub opened my eyes to so many opportunities that I have while being a student at Cornell, and I want more people to be exposed to it.

My friends would say I’m … goal-oriented and outgoing.

Best Cornell memory (so far!): Hanging out with my friends in Ujamaa Unit 2 Lounge.

Future plans: To pursue a MPH/ PhD in Public Health.
