Certificate in Community-Engaged Leadership
Dustin Liu ’19
Major: Industrial and Labor Relations (Organizational Behavior concentration)
Minors: Information Science, Education, Leadership, History of Capitalism
I’m passionate about … inclusive education access and equity.
Engagement experience: I have recently participated in the Global Service Learning Program in India and completed the Certificate in Community-Engaged Leadership. Off campus, I serve as a head advising fellow for Matriculate, a nonprofit aimed at leveraging virtual peer to peer mentorship to allow for college access. On campus, I am involved in shared governance as Cornell’s undergraduate student elected trustee.
As an Engaged Ambassador, I … am a facilitator for the Certificate in Community-Engaged Leadership capstone
I got involved because … my most formative experiences have been outside the classroom, and I hope to play a role in connecting other Cornellians to those opportunities.
My friends would say I’m … always trying to find cheap ways to travel.
Best Cornell memory (so far!): My first Homecoming fireworks show
Fun fact: I am a certified Zumba instructor!
Future plans: Hoping to explore my interests in education and leadership in graduate school
