Engaged Ambassadors

Canaan Delgado ’21

Major: Environmental Engineering and Information Science

Concentration: User Interface/User Experience

The issue of public concern I’m passionate about is … environmental degradation.

Engagement experience: Hurricane María relief effort mission with US Army, Reforestation of Amazon Rainforest in Brazil with Harvard, Rotary International

As an Engaged Ambassador, I … intend on empowering our campus with the tools necessary to make real world impacts in society.

I got involved because … I have always wanted to help. Seeing that Engaged Cornell gives students the ability to take their desires of world change to the forefront of real international quagmires, I couldn’t help but get involved!

My friends would say I’m … crazy and full of humor!

Best Cornell memory (so far!): When I spent $120 one night at Nasties because, well, I was hungry after a long night of dancing.

Fun fact: I was the Speed Stacks champion of my school in sixth grade!

Future plans: Travel the world, go to Yale Law School (fingers crossed) and adopt a pomsky named Chewy.
