Certificate in Community-Engaged Leadership

Bukola Anifowoshe ’19

Majors: Biology and Society, Development Sociology

I’m passionate about … the education gap.

Engagement experience: Alternative Breaks, Certificate in Community-Engaged Leadership, Baton Rouge service trip

As an Engaged Ambassador, I … advance Engage Cornell’s mission of increasing opportunities to participate in community-engaged experiences by meeting students where they are and providing mentorship/guidance to students at any level of engagement experience they find themselves in.

I got involved because … I wanted to see more people of color like myself involved in community engagement on and off campus.

My friends would say I’m … funny and goofy with a balanced drive for success.

Best Cornell memory (so far!): Slope Day 2016

Fun fact: I worked in Egypt last summer and can read Arabic.

Future plans: Master of Public Health
